CINEMA

Andrea Pazienza’s work is full of constant references and cinematic quotations.
From his early paintings – such as the panels of Storia di una convergenza, steeped in references to Alain Resnais and Jean-Luc Godard, or Easy Rembrandt, clearly referring to the work of Dennis Hopper – to his comic stories (remember Enrico Fiabeschi and his “Apokalipsi Näu”? Or “Vestito per soffriggere” in Giallo scolastico, just to mention two examples).
But Pazienza’s relationship with cinema is not limited to evocations and tributes: the artist also made film posters, putting his unmistakable stylistic signature at the service of the seventh art.
