Il ’77. Potere dromedario, written by Giuliano Zincone and directed by Amedeo Fago, is a Palomar-RAI co-production that aired on October 22, 1987 to mark the tenth anniversary of 1977, a crucial year in the history of youth movements and Italian culture.
In the documentary, Andrea Pazienza talks about the birth of Pentothal, his comic-book alter ego who became a symbol of the protesting students, and about his collaboration with the magazine Il Male, one of the most original voices in Italian satire. In those years, Il Male established itself as a genuine laboratory of irreverence and experimentation, able to turn the news into a corrosive, biting and decidedly innovative playground.
