I would like Andrea Pazienza to be studied as a great artist of this century deserves.
I would like his biography to be reconstructed as it was, and not as a life can be reshaped by legend.
I would like people to stop thinking of him only as a generational echo.
I would like the pictorial and literary substance of his works to outdistance the anecdotal seduction always lying in wait.
I would like his cheerfulness, his restlessness, his vitality, his dreams, his nightmares to keep flying forever with the freedom of the wind.
I would like the mosaic of his drawings, scattered like seeds, never to be put back together, thus giving us the illusion that somewhere his pencils are still dancing on life.
